Let Us Love and Sing and Wonder (Minstrels 10-2-20)

1. Let us love and sing and wonder;
Let us praise the Savior​s name!
He who stirred the law​’s loud thunder,
He now kindles Sion’s flames!
He has washed us with His blood,
He has brought us nigh to God.

2. Let us love and sing and wonder,
Consider God’s Holy name!
He of old has been our Savior,
To old age will be the same!
He has washed us with His blood,
He will carry us to God!

3. Let us love the Lord Who bought us,
Pitied us when enemies;
Called us by His grace and taught us,
Gave us ears and gave us eyes!
He has washed us with His blood,
He presents our souls to God.

4. Let us love this God of wonders,
Who once severed by His grace,
His own then, and still which sunders,
All who by faith seek His face:
He who washed us with His blood,
Will preserve us to the end!

5. Let us sing though fierce temptation,
Threatens hard to bear us down;
For the Lord, our strong salvation,
Holds in view the conqueror’s crown!
He, Who washed us with His blood,
Soon will bring us home to God!

6. Sing again, the God of Sinai,
Yearning to commune with man:
Jealous love’s consuming fire,
Showed His heart, stretched out His hand;
He who washed them with the blood,
Made them happy sons of God!

7. Let us wonder, see His terrors
When at Horeb, all in Flames,
Cleansed His people’s secret errors,
Dreadfully proclaimed His name!
He who washed us with His blood,
Also shows the ways of God!

8. Let us wonder: grace and justice,
Join to open mercy​'s door:
When through grace, in Christ our trust is,
Justice cries, to bless the more!
He who washed us with His blood,
Has secured our way to God.
