About
I was born 1975 in Houston, TX. As a young child, my parents divorced and gave custody to my grandparents. From there, I was thankful to be raised in the home of of my loving Christian grandparents. I spent my youth hearing of the name of Jesus Christ, yet was stubborn at heart, and unwilling to seek after or surrender my life to God.
Through a series of events leading into my twenties, I began to read the scriptures intently for the first time in my life and came to truly see the sinful condition of my heart, as well as the love of God in Christ, and had an encounter with the one true God of the Bible. Surrendering my life to God, I was saved from the sinful path I was on to finally become a Christian in heart! I have not been the same since!
After finishing college, I was offered a job at a mega-church in Houston where I would spend the next decade of my life being mentored in church music and production. As I grew in my relationship with the Lord, and met other professing believers at the mega-church I was in, I began to read through the book of Acts in the Bible and feel a deep longing in my heart for something more; more love and devotion to Christ myself and more reality with God like in the Scriptures. I was awakened to a deeper sense of what Christ was truly calling all believers to in my generation - to know the God of the Bible, and to learn to walk in His ways and doings. In 2011, God began to call me away from the sinful ways of of false Christianity, and at the end of that year, I was led to move to Arlington to join the few brethren of what is now the Church of Wells. I am currently the chief musician at the church and I find it to be a great blessing and honor to be chosen to sing God’s praises in these last days.
I have been married to my beautiful wife Kristin for almost 17 years and we currently have 8 wonderful children! Savannah, Annabelle, Levi, Judah, Johanna, Melissa, David and John Habakkuk.
